A leading Australian construction and project management company is seeking a experienced OHS professional to oversee its OHS responsibilities on one of its multimillion dollar commercial projects. This is a rare opportunity to work for one of the leading First Tier Construction Firms

 

Responsibilities include:

• Ensuring compliance with all relevant OHS regulations and standards
• Conducting appropriate site induction training for all employees
• Provide assistance to supervisors and workers in hazard identification, risk assessment and job hazard analysis
• Monitor HSE compliance through inspections and observations of the workplace
• Holding toolbox meetings
• Investigating accidents and incidents
• Preparing reports
• Ensuring all subcontractors and workers are aware of their OHS responsibilities

Essential Criteria for this role include:

• Certificate iv in Occupational Health and Safety and/or Safety Supervisor's Certificate
• Minimum of two years OHS supervisors experience in construction environment preferably in commercial
• Good interpersonal/communication skills
