Transfield Services is a leading provider of operations, maintenance, asset and project management services with activities in Australia, New Zealand, North America, Asia and the Middle East.  Our operations span more than 130 contracts across 11 diverse industries including oil and gas, mining and process, power, telecommunications, roads, rail and public transport, utilities, facilities management and Defence.

Your passion for health safety and the environment will influence the HSE performance throughout the operations. You will support, develop and review, plans, processes and initiatives aimed at creating and developing a culture of "No injuries to anyone - anytime".

Reporting to the Site Manager, you will be responsible for providing the site with ‘hands on' operational HSE support to achieve "zero harm" to people and the environment", whilst providing a quality service to our clients.

Tertiary qualifications in HSE will be highly regarded and you will possess experience in the mining, or other high risk industries that includes driving cultural change in a large, complex and multi-site organisation.

We are seeking expression of interest from people with suitable qualifications and experience:

• A tertiary qualification in Occupational, Health & Safety or related field;
• Certificate IV Workplace Training and Assessment;
• Conversant with AS 4801 and AS 14001;
• Demonstrated capacity to develop, co-ordinate and champion a safe environment;
• The ability to facilitate work groups in safety related improvement processes;
• Experience in conducting HSEC site inspections & audits;
• Demonstrated knowledge in safety systems & processes;
• Exposure to "behavioural based" safety programs;
• Leadership, problem analysis and solution development skills; and
• Excellent communication, customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrable experience in Rehabilitation and developing Return to Work programs.
• Experience in heavy industry & shutdown environment
